I'm playing the digital PS3 version. There are at least 2 or 3 cutscenes where Kratos' lines don't play. His mouth moves but either his voice lines don't play or are extremely quiet. Not sure if it has something to do with this version or if it's something that can be fixed. In RE4-6 it does indeed replay the cutscene if you fail a quick timer event, but you can press select/back and skip to the moment before the QTE itself. I can see it being a pain if you're just watching; it's quite effective for the player since it keeps the tension going, i.e. there's no "relaxing" during cutscenes. I really dislike the modern segments. They were useless before and are even more so now. DrJawless 10 years ago #4. Holding rt let's you skip, allowing you to move around quicker. I'd imagine some quack telling you that you have "multiple personalities" and "psychotic tendencies" would be pretty annoying. - Fishystick. This mod lets you skip cutscenes. It is currently work-in-progress and covers most cutscenes in the prologue. (Until and including Space boyfriend.) The button used to skip cutscenes is the same one you use to back out of message and choice boxes. You can set it in your settings. The stump cutscene (WTF Value assigment is not skipped.) To clarify headgear in cutscenes has been available in all other previous Assassin's Creed games, with no issues and have implemented workarounds (such as removing headgear in certain cut-scenes). Also this is a feature most games in general have by default and is considered standard with in the RPG and Action Adventure genres.. These days the technique is really used moreso as a stall tactic to hide lack of gameplay or pad the playtime. Ff7 remake is a pretty good example in this respect. Think of it like this: Metal Gear Solid/Resident Evil are essentially the daddies of cinematic gaming, and you can skip cutscenes in those. Been a while since I played AC2 but I'm pretty sure you can press Esc during the cutscene to get to the main menu, and then select Skip Cinematic / Skip Cutscene or similar.
